Saturday 27th 2014, storytelling and a worksheet activity with under privileged kids.
The event focus was on addressing an important issue of child rights to the kids, but that too in an interesting way. So we picked
downloadable story activity worksheet from UNICEF child right teaching resources.The story was mainly focused on the basic idea that being children they are entitled to certain rights. Rights that will empower them to live a safe and healthy life. Following are the rights that were mainly discussed:The right to healthy food, school, care, safety, nourishing their talents and healthy environment ( No hard labour+ Rest+play).
Later the activity sheet was given to them for coloring. All the kids looked very happy to color their worksheet in a best possible manner. The best coloring efforts were appreciated by distributing chocolates to them.
The Saturday event of storytelling is going quite a hit with kids. We are glad enough for contributing meaningful time and values in them.In the spirit of Mehaan( MCF), let’s support all.
